Coaching Staff for 2011/2012

June 4, 2011

Flintshire Freeze are very pleased to find themselves in the position of being able to announce the coaching appointments for the coming season. But first we would like to extend our thanks to both Marc Lovell and Phil Kennedy for their valuable and much appreciated commitment, time and efforts last season. Marc will be stepping back into being a lead player at the club having enjoyed the insight into the coach’s role. Marc feels that at his age he has many years of play left and wants to concentrate on that, and to be honest anybody who has seen Marc play can’t really disagree with that opinion – his unassisted goal in the last game of the season being a fine example of his skill and talent. Phil remains in a coaching role but, having commitments to the Flintshire Juniors, he takes a slight step back into an assistant coach role. He will be joined by fellow assistant coach former Deeside Dragons player Lol Paul. Taking up the head coach role will be Karl Creamer. For the club this is great news: to have next seasons coaching sorted out so early in the off season, to have some continuity in the coaching team and to have between the three coaches a wealth of experience. This offers a good balance of approachability along a firm hand to help us move on next season.
